Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ

Rev. Matthew Ray Spann is the son of the late Rev. Dr. S. L. Spann and Mrs. Fannie B. Spann. Rev. Matthew Spann has been married to Janice going on thirty six years. They have two children, Matthew Paul and Jessica Earnestine. He and his wife also have two grandsons, Jaden Lyndell and Jeremiah Lee. Bro. Spann accepted the call to preach the gospel in 1996 and served as a Son of the House under the leadership of Dr. S. L. Spann. He went on to attend New Orleans Baptist Seminary majoring in the study of Pastoral Ministries.

 

Bro. Spann served as pastor of Sandridge M. B. Church for eight years. Upon completion of his assignment at Sandridge Baptist Church, he then served as Associate Minister under the leadership of the late Pastor Stephen Mason of Greater Pearlie Grove Baptist Church. Bro Spann served as the Director of Evangelistic Ministries and one of the Associate Ministers at Greater Fairview M. B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Vincent Russell. The Lord has allowed Bro. Spann to pen his first book, entitled “Understanding the “THENS” in Your Christian Journey”. When life happens, God is still postured to usher the believer to His safe place of peace in Christ Jesus. This book is reflective of Minister Spann’s vast teaching ability to strengthen the people of God through developing God’s purposeful truths.
